Kościół „Naşterea Maicii Domnului” we wsi Teliţa pochodzi prawdopodobnie z początku XIX wieku. Wcześniej istniała tu ponoć pustelnia. W miejscu tym kult sprawowali księża ukraińscy, gdyż ludność ze wsi Telita była pochodzenia ukraińskiego. Kamień węgielny pod budowę świątyni położył w 1902 r. pierwszy rumuński ksiądz Marin Popescu. Kościół nie był malowany, a jedynie ozdobiony ikonami. Podczas trzęsienia ziemi w 1977 r. kościół został poważnie uszkodzony i pomimo wielu prób remontu, nadal pozostaje w ruinie.
