Kaskada powstała na rzece Guadiana, 17 km na północ od Mértoli, w Portugalii. Jest to najwyższy wodospad w południowej Portugalii. Znajduje się na wysokości od 33 do 35 metrów, w bardzo wąskim wąwozie rzeki Guadiana. Do wodospadu spacer najlepiej zacząć z dedykowanego parkingu (37.805593, -7.630440). Prowadzi z niego trasa, która kończy się punktem widokowym na wodospad. Źródło Wikipedia.
