Katedra była wielokrotnie przebudowywana w XII, XVI i XVII wieku. Został prawie całkowicie zniszczony w 1678 roku przez huragan. Interwencja Colberta, którego żona pochodziła z Bles, pozwoliła na jego przebudowę w stylu gotyckim. Wewnątrz współczesne witraże nawy i naw bocznych są dziełem holenderskiego artysty Jana Dibbetsa, w chórze witraże Lobina (1860).
