W rumuńskim Maramureszu w bocznych dolinach rzeki Izy znajdziemy też kilka wiosek godnych uwagi. Wśród nich jest wieś Glod w dolinie Slătioarei, o której pierwsze wzmianki pochodzą z 1353 roku. Ozdobą Glod jest drewniana cerkiew św Mikołaja z 1700 roku. Wewnątrz malowidła wyszły z pod ręki Tivadara Vasile i pochodzą z 1829 roku. Bardzo cenny jest też ikonostas z ikonami z XVII i XVIII wieku. Wśród zbiorów cerkwi znajdziemy też ciekawe ikony malowane na szkle, zabytkowe meble kościelne, księgi i inne stare sakralne pamiątki. Świątynia dzięki staraniom proboszcza została niedawno odnowiona.
