Château de Luynes nie jest udostępniony do zwiedzania, mogliśmy go tylko podziwiać z daleka. Jest to pierwotnie średniowieczna twierdza, zbudowana w XIII wieku, na skalistym cyplu, z widokiem na dolinę Loary. Zamek został gruntownie przebudowany w XV wieku. Południowy mur kurtynowy jest dziś zastąpiony tarasem, a zewnętrzny mur obronny z dwiema małymi okrągłymi wieżami nadal można dostrzec. W XVII wieku z tyłu południowo-wschodniej wieży zbudowano pawilon.
