Château du Haut-Ribeaupierre jest jednym z trzech zamków górujących nad alzackim miasteczkiem Ribeauvillé. Położony na wysokości 642 m, z widokiem na dwa pozostałe zamki - Château du Girsberg i Château de Saint-Ulrich. To najstarszy z zamków Ribeaupierre, znany od 1084 roku. Został zbudowany na starożytnym rzymskim miejscu, znanym wówczas jako Altenkastel. Anselme de Ribeaupierre objął w posiadanie zamek w 1288 roku. Około 1368 roku właścicielem został Brunon de Ribeaupierre. W połowie XIII wieku służył jako posterunek przed planami króla francuskiego dotyczącymi inwazji na Alzację. Pod koniec XIII wieku zamek stał się rezydencją Ribeaupierres. Większość dzisiejszego zamku jest całkowicie zrujnowana i otoczona gęstą roślinnością i teoretycznie niedostępna dla turystów (foto z lotu ptaka Wikipedia CC BY-SA 4.0)
