(0)Fontanna pochodzi z 1732 roku. Pasteur był uczniem, a następnie nauczycielem od 1839 do 1842 roku w liceum (tuż za murem). Miasto Besançon oddało mu hołd tym pomnikiem w 1899 roku. Popiersie jest rzeźbą Paula Dubois.
