Przy ulicy Arenal znajduje się kościół San Ginés, poświęcony francuskiemu świętemu San Ginésowi z Arles. Jest to jeden z najstarszych kościołów w Madrycie, zbudowany w 1645 roku na ruinach prawdopodobnie pustelni mozarabskiej. Zbudowany według projektu Juana Ruiza, na przestrzeni swojej historii przechodził liczne renowacje i modyfikacje. Po pracochłonnej renowacji parafię San Ginés uznano w 1982 r. za Narodowy Pomnik Historyczno-Artystyczny.

Obecna główna fasada, wykonana z cegły i kamienia w 1870 r., pierwotnie była w stylu neoplaterskim, jednak po zniszczeniu podczas wojny domowej jej oryginalne dekoracje usunięto podczas późniejszej renowacji. Łukowaty portyk prowadzi do wnętrza z trzema nawami i bocznymi kaplicami, z których najbardziej wyróżnia się kaplica Chrystusa Świętego.
