Unikalna we francuskiej architekturze wojskowej Złota Wieża czuwa nad zatoką Camaret i wejściem do Wąwozu Brzeskiego od ponad 300 lat. 18-metrowa wielokątna wieża obronna zbudowana według planu Vaubana na Sillon w Camaret-sur-Mer, jako część fortyfikacji goulet de Brest. Ma trzy poziomy i jest flankowana murami, wartownią i baterią dział, która może pomieścić 11 armat, a także odlewnią kul armatnich dodaną w okresie rewolucji francuskiej.
