Mănăstirea Slatina

Monastyr Slatina położony jest w dolinie gór Stânișoarei na rumuńskie Bukowinie. Jest klasztorem typu obronnego i został ufortyfikowany wysokimi murami. Ufundował go hospodar mołdawski Aleksandr Lăpuşneanu w latach 1554–1558. Fundator wraz z żoną i córką został też tu pochowany. Klasztorna cerkiew Przemienienia Pańskiego pochodzi z 1558 roku i składa się z nawy, przednawia i przedsionka. Wewnątrz możemy podziwiać malowidła z XIX w., ale w czasie remontu odkryto tu też pierwotne freski z 1560 roku. W murach monastyru znajduje się też druga mniejsza cerkiew, która obecnie pełni funkcję muzeum. Monastyr można zwiedzać nieodpłatnie.
