Pałac Valdés, w którym obecnie znajduje się Colegio del Santo Ángel de la Guarda, to barokowy pałac położony w dzielnicy Cimadevilla. To symboliczny przykład wczesnego baroku, został zaprojektowany przez kantabryjskiego mistrza Juana de Cerecedo Starszego w XVI wieku. W roku 1625 wzniesiono kaplicę Matki Bożej z Guadalupe, dzieło architekta Pedro de Cubas de la Huerta, co dopełnia wielkość pałacu i dodaje budowli duchowego charakteru.
