Od czerwca 2018 r. króla Bolesława II Szczodrego upamiętnia jeden z posągów na trasie Traktu Królewskiego w Gnieźnie. Posąg zdobi nowy skwer powstający u zbiegu ulic Dąbrówki i Łubieńskiego. Autorem rzeźby jest poznański artysta, Rafał Nowak. Bolesław II Szczodry to książę Polski w latach 1058–1076, król Polski w latach 1076–1079. Był pierworodnym synem Kazimierza Odnowiciela i Dobroniegi, córki Włodzimierza I Wielkiego, wielkiego księcia kijowskiego. Brat Władysława I Hermana. Imię otrzymał po swoim pradziadzie ojczystym Bolesławie I Chrobrym.
