Zamek Hoyerswerda znajduje się na wzgórzu w centrum starego miasta Hoyerswerda. Pierwotny zamek na wodzie z XIII wieku był wielokrotnie niszczony i przebudowywany. Za Seyfrieda von Promnitza pod koniec XVI wieku stał się renesansowym pałacem, który Ursula Katharina von Teschen wyposażyła w elementy barokowe w pierwszej połowie XVIII wieku. Od lat 50. najstarszy budynek w Hoyerswerda służy głównie jako muzeum miejskie.
