Zbudowana w XV wieku nad jedną ze średniowiecznych bram miasta, pełni funkcję dzwonnicy. Wieża Zegarowa z widokiem na Rue Nationale została zbudowana nad główną bramą średniowiecznych murów Amboise, znaną jako Porte de l' Amasse. Jej północno-wschodnia strona zwrócona jest w stronę wnętrza miasta, południowo-zachodnia w stronę przedmieść.
