Kolejną wieżą fortyfikacji średniowiecznej Sighișoary była Baszta Kowali lub Żelazna. Usytuowana jest za Kościołem Klasztornym i została zbudowana w 1631 r. Powstała na fundamentach dawnej Wieży Cyrulickiej. Jej głównym zadaniem była ochrona kościoła w przypadku oblężenia. Na piętrze mieściła się kiedyś remiza strażacka. Wieża kiedy patrzymy na nią z wnętrza cytadeli wydaje się stosunkowo mała, ale robi wrażenie, gdy wyjdziemy poza dawne mury miejskie.
