Turnul Frânghierilor, czyli Baszta Powroźników jest jedyną zamieszkałą z 9 zachowanych baszt Sighișoary. Dziś jest domem opiekuna kościoła cmentarnego. Przed wieżą rozpościera się piękny widok na miasto w dole. Pierwotna baszta z pierwszymi murami twierdzy, zniszczona została przez najazd tatarski w 1241 roku i odbudowana w 1350 roku. Potem była jeszcze naprawiona w XVI wieku. Jest to jedna z nielicznych wież nietkniętych przez pożar z 1676 roku.
