W parku Neuen Garten, w pobliżu Pałacu Cecilienhof, gdzie odbyła się konferencja poczdamska stoi bardzo ciekawa i zagadkowa budowla o nazwie Borkenküche. Jest to letnia kuchnia, którą zbudował król Friedrich-Wilhelm II w 1796 r. Okrągły pawilon, to drewniana konstrukcja obłożona korą dębu z dachem krytym trzciną. W kuchni przygotowywano posiłki dla pobliskiej Muschelgrotte, czyli Groty Małży nad brzegiem Jungfernsee. Kiedy zaprzestano używania letniej kuchni popadła ona w ruinę i dopiero w 2010 roku została zrekonstruowana.
