Cerkiew w Poienile Izei

Kolejna ciekawa wioska oddalona o 10 km od Doliny Izei, to wioska u podnóża Gór Țibleș - Poienile Izei. Perełką wioski jest cerkiew św Paraskewy wpisana na listę Światowego Dziedzictwa Kulturowego UNESCO. Świątynię zbudowano w 1604 roku w stylu maramurskim. Cerkiew położona na niewysokim wzgórzu otoczona jest starym cmentarzem. Drewniana budowla kryta jest dwukalenicowym łamanym dachem gontowym z niewysoką wieżą. Wewnątrz zachowały się polichromie z 1783 r., przedstawiające sceny ze Starego i Nowego Testamentu. Klucze do cerkwi można otrzymać w pobliskim domu nr. 348.
