Jest to jedna z czterech dużych wież zbudowanych na początku XVI wieku. Należała do klasztoru Cordeliers, którego kościół został niestety zburzony, aby zrobić miejsce dla Rue de l'Hôtel-Dieu (początek XIX wieku). Sprzedana osobie fizycznej jako własność narodowa podczas rewolucji, wieża ta została przekazana w XIX wieku Hospicjom de Beaune.
