Pawilon Smoków w Poczdamie

Pawilon Smoków to budowla na planie ośmiokąta w formie czteropiętrowej pagody, w północnej części parku Sanssouci, w Poczdamie. Jego nazwa wywodzi się od 16 pozłacanych rzeźb smoków zdobiących jego dach. Powstał on w stylu chinoiserie, na zlecenie króla Prus Fryderyka II Wielkiego. Projekt i budowę powierzono architektowi Carlowi von Gontardowi. Ponoć miał tu mieszkać ogrodnik opiekujący się winoroślami na wzgórzu Klausberg, ale ostatecznie zamieszkiwał tam dozorca położonego nieopodal belwederu. W 1934 roku pawilon przekształcono na niewielką restaurację i taką funkcję sezonowo pełni dziś.
